The 26-year-old Johnson hit .308 in 94 games last season, the best average among rookies with at least 300 at-bats. The Houston Astros see Wandy Rodriguez as one of the best left-handers in baseball, and they didn't want him to get away. Rodriguez and the Astros avoided arbitration and reached agreement Tuesday on a $34 million, three-year contract. I became a fully committed fan of the Astros, after their 2005 playoff run; which resulted in a World Series loss to the Chicago White Sox. The Astros spring training home games are held in Kissimmee FL. These games are the best opportunities to get closer to the players on the Astros roster.
