After today’s game against the Red Legs, Chris Johnson was informed that he will be sent down to AAA Round Rock following the Astros contest against the Corpus Christi Hooks.
“He took it well — it wouldn’t be fair to leave him wondering about all of this,” Cooper said. “This kid’s handled himself like a big leaguer. He’s handled himself well, he’s held his own here. He handled his business in a professional manner. I could tell he was all ears — not as much talking, just listening. His work habits were great.”" – astros.com
Although Johnson didn’t make the club out of Spring Training, he did open up a lot of eyes and turn a lot of heads. It wont be long until we see him in an Astros uniform. It is nice to know that if and when Houston suffers injuries this season, they have some capable players who can come up and fill in.

We’re happy to have Johnson play for the Express. My family and I love to attend Astros games and reminisce about when we first saw a great ball player in Round Rock. I hope Johnson is not discouraged!

I don’t think he is. He left camp with Ed Wade telling him he is the Astros future 3rd baseman.
I am eager to see him in Round Rock is well.
